All-Time High (ATH)

The highest record in terms of the per-unit price of a particular crypto asset, often measured with regard to specific fiat or cryptocurrencies.

All-time high (ATH) is a trading term that is used to describe the highest price at which a particular crypto asset was sold. ATH often serves as an indicator of the value of the said asset, letting traders and investors know its potential worth as well as the period when it was most popular. Moreover, ATH is also used to evaluate the value curve of a crypto asset, so that investors can more accurately guess whether high crypto prices are accidental or following an established trend.

On a historical price scale, an ATH represents the upper limits of a cryptocurrency. So, when compared with another, a crypto trader or investor can immediately determine which crypto has a greater potential based on historical trends.
