Capitulation

Mass surrender and asset selloff by investors during a period of intense market downturn.

Capitulation is what happens when a cryptocurrency's value plummets because of massive selloff by investors who have lost confidence in the asset.

A first wave of token selloffs can occur during a bear market, or in response to a security breach or Black Swan event. This can trigger further waves while the token's value continues to spiral downwards until a price floor is reached.
