Central Processing Unit (CPU)

Component of a computer that carries out functional operations, and processes data for better, and more efficient output.

A Central Processing Unit (CPU) is a component of a computer that is responsible for processing information, thereby ensuring the smooth running of computer operations. This data is in the form of raw data, and just like its name implies, it processes the data that is requested by a user or program.

The Central Processing Unit (CPU) not only processes data but also saves data—system software, information, files, etc. And just like the human brain, the CPU serves as the brain of a computer; solving applications, system software, and other computer problems.
