Full Node

A computer on a blockchain network that serves as an independent terminal for the network’s operations.

A node is any computer that is active on a blockchain network and executes transactions using the network’s algorithm. As the traditional blockchain model does not include central authorities, the computer serves as a terminal through which users can interact with the blockchain, buy and sell assets, and record (and share records of) their transactions on blocks.

There are different types of nodes, ranging from light nodes to full nodes. A full node is one that serves as a miniature version of the blockchain, with a full copy of the distributed ledger of blocks and transactions.
