HODL

A popular term that refers to a trader’s decision to hold on to assets regardless of price movements.

HODL is a common concept among traders which indicates the decision of a trader to disregard market trends and price movements while holding on to crypto assets. The term has been defined as the acronym of Hold On for Dear Life, which perfectly describes the willpower of a crypto trader while they are HODLing their assets. Moreover, HODLing is also a strategy used by newcomers to the crypto trading space who have no experience as of yet about making profitable decisions.

Using HODL instead of HOLD has also inspired the use of BUIDL instead of BUILD in crypto space. Thus, even though the terms mean the same thing, the deliberate misspelling indicates to informed people that crypto trading is the subject matter of discourse and not something else.
