Maximum supply is the highest possible amount of a cryptocurrency token or coin that will ever exist. This number is the overall total, meaning that it cannot be added to. Thus, whenever this supply is exhausted, traders will not be able to mine more from the network and will have to rely on exchanging with other traders. The concept relies on rarity which exists to protect the coin so that it does not become irrelevant overtime and can increase fairly predictably in value. Most crypto coins have a maximum supply. Bitcoin’s maximum supply is 21 million coins, whereas that of Shiba Inu is 1 quadrillion tokens. Some, like Ethereum, do not but rely on some other mechanism to control overall supply.

Mempool (short for memory pool) is a validating mechanism for nodes on a blockchain network. This mechanism is blockchain’s provisions for the waiting period between executing a transaction and said transaction being verified as completed on the network. Thus, while the trader waits for their transaction to be verified via the node-information broadcast process, the mempool takes note of the transaction.

The mempool function is one of the guards against mishaps such as double spending. Because the mechanism functions as a kind of memory cache, it is more difficult to carry out the same transaction twice.

A masternode is a governing type of node that verifies block transactions rather than record them. Compared to full nodes which function as the bridge between crypto traders and the exchange platform, masternodes function as bridges between nodes, thereby having a kind of supervisory advantage over the others. As a result, operating a masternode means that a crypto miner does not require as much computing experience.

Even though operating masternodes offers better returns than operating full nodes, the initial investment is higher.
