Computer applications that are installed and operated on web servers rather than on the computer.

A progressive web application (PWA) is a convenient computer software that runs solely on the web. These apps are special because they are developed using novel technologies and don’t need a computer hard drive to be installed on. Thus, they don’t take up space and too much processing power when compared to traditional computer software.

PWAs are practical because they run efficiently even on computers with slow-speed specifications. Similarly, they don’t require strong network signals and can even run as daemons without consuming much battery power.
