Total Supply

The overall total amount of a token that has been issued.

Total supply refers to the total amount of tokens or crypto coins that have been mined, whether or not they are in circulation. This amount also includes the tokens currently possessed by users and have been used. So, this amount makes up all available tokens and coins for a particular crypto, excluding the ones that have been burned or destroyed.

Total supply is similar to maximum supply and circulating supply. However, maximum supply generally has more coins and circulating supply generally has fewer. The exact ratio depends on the individual coin. Specifically, maximum supply includes all cryptocurrency tokens or coins that will ever exist for a project, while circulating supply includes all tokens and coins that are currently in the possession of users.
