A virgin bitcoin is any bitcoin that has never been spent, is freshly minted, and therefore has no transactional history. These bitcoins are very rare considering that there is a fixed supply of bitcoins. Moreover, there is a wide conception that these bitcoins are more precious compared to others and should be priced differently. However, there is very little evidence that they exist, especially considering the number of years that the Bitcoin blockchain has been in operation.

Virtual Automated Market Makers (vAMMs) are systems that offer users the platform and opportunity to swap virtual assets for liquidity. As a result, users are able to exchange derivatives without the usual blockade for smart contracts, thereby allowing traders to get liquidity with leverage.

vAMMs were designed as next-generation Automated Market Makers (AMMs) which help users swap tokens. Thus, vAMMs are innovative because their usage centers around virtual assets such as derivative contracts instead of the usual tokens.

A vesting period, also known as token lockup period, refers to a specific period where the developers of a cryptocurrency ‘lock’ tokens so that users cannot trade them. This period is usually brief but may be long. However, the objective of this lockup is to put a check on users selling off their tokens immediately after obtaining them. Such a situation would drive down the prices of the cryptocurrency and it will take extra effort to get these prices to rise.

Using vesting periods is a reliable safeguard against the possibility of a tanking cryptocurrency. Thus, due to the imposed period of waiting, the crypto asset is given sufficient time to grow in value.
