Vitalik Buterin

A Canadian programmer known for co-founding Ethereum.

Vitalik Buterin is one of the founders of Ethereum who is usually presented as a key figure in the revolution of the blockchain industry. Buterin started working with cryptocurrency concepts and projects early on in 2011. He eventually launched Ethereum along with Anthony Di Iorio, Charles Hoskinson, Gavin Wood, Joe Lubin, and Mihai Alisie in 2015 with the express purpose of resolving the gaps he perceived to exist on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Using market capitalization, Ethereum is currently the second-largest cryptocurrency in the world. This is especially because of Buterin and his team’s progressive ideologies. The same ideologies are the motivation for Buterin’s current project, Ethereum 2.0, which is supposed to be even more efficient than the first project.
