Volume

The total quantity of particular crypto assets that have been used in transactions within a specific period.

Volume is a measurement used to determine how much of a particular crypto has been traded within a particular period. It can also refer to the total number of units of the cryptocurrency that has been bought and sold per time (often 24 hours). Thus, volume often serves as an indicator of the demand for the crypto asset, as well as a pointer towards the asset's perceived value among crypto traders.

Volume is closely associated with the concentration of trading activity within the specified time. Thus, high trading activity generally suggests high volumes of trading, and vice versa.
