The early stage of the internet that predates the current age of technological sophistication.

Web 1.0 was an era in the history of the Web in which information could only be accessed in a read-only format connected by hyperlinks.

It served mainly as a directory of static information maintained by a few people for the benefit of many. it lacked the necessary forms, visuals, controls, and interactivity associated with the modern web.
